She Found Her Village as a New Mom. Now She's Creating It for Everyone Else.

Britta Veneziano | New Mom School Ballantyne | Mom of three (ages 7, 4, and 8 months)

Britta Veneziano remembers standing in the Ballantyne studio space for the first time, lease paperwork in hand, knowing—without a doubt—that it was going to be a sanctuary for new moms. A place that felt like a second home when home felt impossibly hard.

She'd been there herself.

Seven years ago, with her first son Avery, Britta walked into New Mom School as a student. Overwhelmed. Unsure. Quietly questioning everything. "I was lost," she says. "And the support, information, and community I found there completely changed my experience."

She recommended it to everyone. And then one day, she realized: I need to bring this to Charlotte.

The Business:

"Motherhood was never meant to be done alone," Britta says. "Every mama deserves a trusted village."

New Mom School isn't new. It's been supporting moms for over 14 years, guiding more than 15,000 women through early motherhood. What Britta brought to Ballantyne is expert-led, mommy-and-me style parenting classes for babies 0–12 months, grounded in a curriculum created by physicians and experts. But more than that? It's a warm, no-shame space where moms don't just survive postpartum, they actually enjoy it.

"I remember standing there [in the Ballantyne studio] knowing it was going to be such a warm, welcoming space for moms. Even now, being in the studio makes me so happy. That feeling still feels like a quiet fist pump every time I unlock the door."

How the Business Fits into Motherhood:

"This business exists right alongside my motherhood—usually with a baby on my hip, a school pickup on the calendar, and a cold cup of coffee nearby," Britta says. "Some days it feels like my sanity-saver, other days it's a nap-time empire built in 20-minute chunks. Plenty of days it's both at once."

But her favorite part? Her kids are now old enough to understand what she does. "They know their mom helps new mommies—which makes even the hardest days feel worth it."

New Studio Incoming:

She's in lease negotiations for her second Charlotte studio. "The space is absolutely amazing. It feels like a huge step forward."

From overwhelmed new mom to business owner building sanctuaries for other overwhelmed new moms. That's the kind of full-circle moment that deserves applause.

Britta's message to every mama: "I know firsthand how isolating postpartum can feel. My hope is that every mom who walks through our doors feels genuinely supported and able to truly enjoy her postpartum experience—not just survive it."
